Reception and Nurses

Liz Chalmers Receptionist

I have been a dental receptionist for over 12 years and have been with Essential Dental Care from the very start, back in 2008.

I am very aware that the first and last point of contact a patient has, when either visiting or calling the practice, is me. The main part of my job is to be as welcoming, friendly and helpful as I can be. It might be a cup of tea and a few minutes chat, or remembering something that is particularly important to a patient, perhaps a family event or a holiday. It all helps to put people at their ease.

I am very proud of the rapport that I’ve built up over the years with our patients, and they know that I’m always at the end of the phone should they need me. I couldn’t do what I do unless I really loved my job!

Registered Dental Nurse

I joined the EDC team in January 2014 as a trainee dental nurse and gained my registration in 2015 . I really enjoy working as part of a small friendly team and making our patients as comfortable as can be during their treatment is what I loved to do the most. Before dentistry, I was a senior carer for elderly people, specialising in dementia care. My spare time is spent with our young family and walking our cocker spaniel.
